Fred Wenzel is an accomplished engineering leader currently serving as the VP of Engineering at Kojo, a company that is innovating in the SaaS marketplace for commercial construction materials. With extensive experience at Airbnb, Fred held multiple leadership roles, including Head of Engineering for Community Support Ambassador Products and Support Products, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing internal tools and managing large distributed teams. Prior to Airbnb, Fred worked at Mozilla Corporation in various roles, ultimately as Senior Engineering Manager for Apps Engineering, contributing to the development of Open Web Apps and Firefox OS. Fred's early career includes research at Carnegie Mellon University and systems administration roles in several organizations. Fred holds a master’s degree in Information Engineering and Management from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and a master’s thesis in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
