Anne Hassler Heidel is an experienced professional with a strong background in education, journalism, and arts administration. Currently serving as a Substitute Teacher at Maize USD 266 since February 2023, Anne has previously held key roles such as Messiah Festival Coordinator at Bethany College and Assistant Director at Carriage Factory Art Gallery, where marketing activities and exhibitions were managed. Anne's journalism experience includes editing and reporting for Kansas Publishing Ventures, where involvement with the McPherson News began in 2015, and owning Southern Ash Publishing, LLC, focused on publication design and ad sales. Additional experience includes serving as Convention and Visitors Bureau Director for the City of McPherson and holding editorial positions at the McPherson Sentinel and Osage County Herald. Anne earned a B.S. in Journalism from The University of Kansas and completed high school at South Harrison.
