Roman Goldenberg

Roman Goldenberg received BA (Summa cum Laude) and PhD degrees in Computer Science from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, in 1995 and 2003, respectively. During his studies he worked in IBM Haifa Research Lab, developing postal automation systems, and in RAFAEL - Israel Armament Development Authority. In 2002-5 he was a research fellow at Samuel Neeman Institute for Advanced Studies in Science and Technology, where he conducted research in Image Processing and Computer Vision, while consulting companies in medical imaging, software testing automation, and 3D scanning. In 2005-13 Roman co-founded and served as VP R&D and CTO of Rcadia Medical Imaging - a company that developed systems for automatic interpretation of coronary CT angiography, and coined the concept of Computer-Aided Simple Triage into the world of medical Computer-Aided Diagnosis. In 2013-5 Roman was a research consultant for Google, where he developed algorithms and software for 3D Computer Vision applications. Since 2015 he is a principal research scientist in Amazon, developing technologies for the Amazon Go store and other Computer Vision/Machine Learning projects.
