Kim Willis is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in editorial leadership and education. Currently serving as the Deputy Managing Editor and Entertainment Assignment Editor at USA TODAY since October 1996, Kim directs national entertainment news coverage across various platforms, leading a diverse team of reporters and collaborating with multimedia specialists. Between 2004 and 2005, Kim contributed to George Washington University's Prime Movers Media program, teaching multimedia journalism skills to high school students and facilitating the transition of minority journalists into local newsrooms. Previously, Kim held the position of Features Editor at The Clarion-Ledger from 1986 to 1996, overseeing multiple products and managing a staff of 14. Earlier career experience includes serving as a contract reporter and weekend copy editor at The Hattiesburg American.
