Tom manages the college’s communications and web staffs and collaborates with the Advancement and Admission staffs to enhance the marketing of the College.
Tom started at Ursinus in July, 2014. Prior to that he was Director of Online and Digital Marketing at Lehigh University, where he was promoted from Associate Director of Marketing Communications. He promoted Lehigh through multiple communications platforms and conceived and executed strategic multimedia and public relations programs. He was responsible for an award-winning education research magazine and targeted ad campaigns within the higher education sector.
Prior to working at Lehigh, Tom was in the corporate communications, global electronics and e-business divisions of Air Products and Chemicals Inc. in Allentown, Pa., where he was a national spokesman and worked on customer-facing marketing initiatives.
His extensive background also includes serving as senior manager of public affairs at Airports Council International-North America in Washington, D.C., and editor of GOPAC, a Washington, D.C., fund-raising organization.
He is a graduate of Elizabethtown College and active in its alumni association. He has also served as president of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the international Association of Business Communications and was recently named to the Lehigh Valley Business Top 40 Under 40.
