Steve Slepian has a diverse work experience in finance and consulting. Steve currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of Finance at the Urban Land Institute, where they provide leadership in land use and real estate development. Prior to this, they worked as the Managing Director at UBConsulting. Steve also has experience in the non-profit sector, as they served as the SVP of Finance/Controller at NeighborWorks America. Earlier in their career, they held the role of VP/Global Controller at ContourGlobal, an international electric generation facilities company. Steve has also worked as an Independent Consultant at Hozik and Lawson. Steve began their career at NRUCFC, where they served as the VP/Controller for 20 years, overseeing controllership activities for a large financial services company. Steve started their career as a Senior Auditor at Deloitte.

Steve Slepian obtained a BA in Music from Tufts University. Steve then pursued graduate courses in piano performance at the New England Conservatory of Music. Steve later completed an MBA in International Business and an MA in Accountancy at the University of Hawai'i - Shidler College of Business. Additionally, they hold certifications including Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Management Accountant, Certified Public Accountant, and Not For Profit Certificate I from AICPA.
