Eve Mefferd is an experienced research professional with a strong focus on sociology and public policy. Currently employed as a Research Assistant at the Urban Institute since June 2022, Eve is part of the Center on Labor, Human Services, and Population. Prior experience includes a position at the Institute for Women's Policy Research from August 2020 to June 2022, where original intersectional research on topics such as pay equity and workforce development was conducted. Eve has also worked as a Sociology and Social Psychology Research Assistant at Bennington College, where research focused on the experiences of first-generation and low-income college students. Leadership skills were demonstrated as President of the Student Educational Policies Committee, advocating for student equity and access. Additional roles include internships focused on higher education learning models and various research assistantships. Eve holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Public Policy from Bennington College and has studied at the London School of Economics.
