Alexis Weaver

Policy Program Associate at URBAN INSTITUTE

Alexis Weaver is a Policy Program Associate at the Urban Institute, where responsibilities include managing policy projects and providing technical assistance through the Upward Mobility Initiative and overseeing the Disability Equity Policy Initiative. Additionally, Alexis serves as a City Council Member for District 3 in Tucker. Previous roles include Senior Manager at the Atlanta Community Food Bank, where management of a team focused on improving nonprofit capacity, and Community Impact Manager, achieving significant improvements in food security. Experience also includes roles as Research and Development Specialist for Feeding America's Hunger in America 2014 study, Director of Community Development at the Greater Waco Chamber, and Young Adult Coordinator at the Baptist General Convention of Texas. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Community & Regional Planning from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Environmental Studies from Baylor University.
