Elyse Dreyer is currently the Board Chair at Urban Arts Partnership. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Legal Officer at MYX from October 2020 to December 2021. Elyse was responsible for all legal tasks and issues at MYX, including contracts, corporate formation and governance, fundraising, regulatory compliance, employment, marketing and communications, promotions, privacy, litigation, intellectual property, risk, insurance and immigration.
From January 2018 to June 2020, Elyse was a Lecturer in Law at Columbia Law School. There, they were responsible for Sotheby's corporate compliance program for the Americas and advised colleagues at all levels on a wide variety of risks facing our global business. These risks included anti-money laundering, sanctions compliance, antitrust, auction process, authenticity, privacy, data protection and information security, cultural heritage, endangered species, alcohol & beverage law, and conflicts of interest. Elyse also served as lead attorney on all issues related to Sotheby's online auction platform and provided advice relating to a wide range of Sotheby's online activities, tax and IP issues.
Elyse has a long history of working in law and has experience in managing and collaborating with outside counsel on litigation matters. Elyse has also responded to regulatory inquiries, grand jury subpoenas and government investigations. In addition to their work in law, Elyse has also lobbied before Federal, New York and New York City lawmakers on a variety of issues. Lastly, they established and presided
Elyse Dreyer attended Columbia Law School, where they earned their Doctor of Law (JD) degree. Prior to that, they completed a BSFS in International Politics at Georgetown University. Elyse also attended William & Mary.
