Andrew Rabinovich currently serves as VP II and Head of AI and Machine Learning at Upwork since December 2023. Prior to this role, Andrew co-founded Headroom Inc., where Andrew held the position of CEO until the company's acquisition by Upwork in December 2023, also serving as CTO. From April 2015 to June 2020, Andrew was the Head of AI at Magic Leap, focusing on human-centered AI, and previously held roles including Director of Deep Learning and Principal Engineer at the same company, emphasizing deep learning for perception and interaction in augmented reality. Andrew's earlier experience includes working as a Software Engineer at Google from September 2008 to February 2015, where Andrew specialized in computer vision and machine learning algorithms for photo and video annotation. Andrew earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UC San Diego between 2004 and 2008.
