Svetoslav Vassilev has diverse work experience in the software industry. Svetoslav is currently the CTO at UpSight Security Inc. since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Carbon Black, Inc. where they served as a Software Architect from April 2018 to May 2022, contributing significantly to the development of the flagship Cb Threat Hunter product and developing key kernel and user mode components for the Windows Cb sensor. Svetoslav also held the position of Principal Software Engineer at Carbon Black from February 2016 to April 2018. Earlier in their career, Svetoslav worked at Intel Security as a Senior Software Engineer from November 2004 to February 2016 and at DataCore Software Corp. as a Software Engineer from February 2001 to September 2004.

Svetoslav Vassilev completed their Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) from Technical University Sofia, where they studied from 1993 to 1998. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications from Coursera. In August 2017, they completed the "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" course. Svetoslav then completed the "Structuring Machine Learning Projects" and "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization, and Optimization" courses in September 2017. Subsequently, in December 2017, they obtained the certification for the "Convolutional Neural Networks" course. Finally, in February 2018, they completed the "Sequence Models" course.
