After graduating from St John’s College, Cambridge, with a degree in History and Law, Chris qualified as a solicitor. After working as a banking lawyer with Clifford Chance, he studied for an MBA at INSEAD in France.
He then spent 14 years as an investment banker with Schroders and later Rothschilds, working in London, Singapore, New York, and Hong Kong. Chris returned from Asia in 2005 to become chief financial officer/senior bursar of St John’s College, Cambridge. He also chairs an East Anglian Housing Association, is a member of the Investment Committee of the Royal Society and is a director of Cambridge University Rugby Union Football Club.
