Risto Timperi is an accomplished engineer with a focus on maintenance development and operations in the paper mill industry. Currently serving as Manager of Maintenance Development at UPM since October 2016, Risto has held various roles, including Manager of Maintenance Operations Support and Maintenance Development Engineer at UPM, as well as Service Engineer at ANDRITZ. Risto's experience also encompasses multiple positions as Mechanical Supervisor at Sappi Europe and work as a Service Technician at Empower Group and Stora Enso. Risto holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, all from renowned universities.
