Alex Wood is an accomplished cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in information security and risk management. Currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at Uplight since March 2022, Alex co-founded Colorado = Security in February 2017 and co-hosts a podcast dedicated to sharing news and information within the Colorado cybersecurity community. Alex owns and operates Elevation Security Consulting, LLC, providing consulting services since May 2014, and has held leadership roles such as Conference Chair for the Rocky Mountain Information Security Conference, Director of Information Security at The Anschutz Corporation, and VP of Information Security at Pulte Mortgage. Additional contributions include advisory roles with the Information Systems Security Association, including a term on the International Board of Directors, and past leadership of the ISSA Denver Chapter. Alex holds a BA in General Science/Chemistry from Grinnell College and a Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Denver.
