Evan Timmer possesses extensive experience in education and leadership, currently serving as a First Grade Teacher at Uplift Education since June 2016, where the International Baccalaureate framework and social-emotional learning strategies are implemented. Previously, Evan was a Primary Spanish Teacher, pioneering the first foreign language program at the campus. Prior to Uplift Education, Evan worked at Paper Affair Dallas as a Sales Associate, creating curated shopping experiences for clients. Additional experience includes various leadership roles at the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, including Director of Aquatics and Family Programs, where responsibilities encompassed staff supervision and budget management. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Texas at Arlington, a certificate in Core Subjects and English as a Second Language from Texas Teachers, and a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Communication and Spanish from Spring Hill College.
