Ben Murphy is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Global Chief Information Security Officer at Unum since July 2023, Murphy has previously held significant positions at Truist, including SVP, Head of Cyber Defense and SVP, Head of Cyber Operations. Prior to that, Murphy was the U.S. Chief Information Security Officer at Aflac, overseeing information security technology and operations. Additional roles include Director of Security Operations and Threat Management at Aflac, Group Vice President at Truist, Director of Security at Jack Henry Banking, and Vice President of Security at Safe Systems. Murphy's career in information security began at SecureWorks. Murphy holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Wake Forest University.
