Shai Schechter is a mechanical engineer with experience in both design and engineering. Shai began their career in 2011 as a Graphic Designer for Stylitics. In 2012, they became the Webmaster for the Purchase College Student Government Association and a Web Designer for Cristol Glass. In 2014, they founded Deltaprintr and launched a successful Kickstarter campaign to mass produce a new affordable 3D Printer. In 2018, they became a Mechanical Design Engineer for Uber, where they designed and engineered several patented battery swapping technologies for bikes, scooters and kiosks from concept to production tooling. Shai also became a Mechanical Engineer for JUMP Bikes that same year. In 2021, they became a Senior Mechanical Engineer for Hyperframe, where they invented sheet metal snap connectors for new products, drafted drawings, sourced suppliers and designed automated assembly lines. Shai is currently a Senior Mechanical Engineer for unspun.

Shai Schechter attended Purchase College, SUNY from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Design with a Minor in Business.
