Shireen Yacoub is an experienced attorney and legal professional currently serving as an Associate Protection & Legal Aid Officer at UNRWA since October 2023. With a law firm established in June 2003, Shireen has extensive expertise in legal practice. Previous roles include co-leading referral task forces and acting as Protection Legal Manager for Northwest Syria at the International Rescue Committee from April 2018 to November 2022. Shireen also has experience as a Project Development Manager in self-employment, Head of Awareness & Outreach Directorate at the Justice Center for Legal Aid, and a legal consultant for various organizations, including Tamkeen for Legal Aid and Human Rights and the Arab Women's Legal Network. Shireen Yacoub holds a Master's degree in Law from Middle East University and a Bachelor's degree in Law from Isra University.
