James Dykstra is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in international relations and public policy. Currently serving as a Senior Liaison Officer at UNRWA since May 2010, Dykstra represents the agency in New York, articulating its mission and initiatives to Member States. Previously, Dykstra held various influential roles at UNRWA, including Senior External Relations Officer and Advisory Commission Officer, and has substantial experience in government relations through a consulting firm. Prior positions include Senior Policy Advisor for the Canadian Minister of International Cooperation and the Minister of National Defence, as well as roles in policy analysis and campaign advising. Dykstra holds a Master of International Affairs from Carleton University, a Bachelor of Arts in History and International Affairs from McGill University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Waterloo.
