Lucas Alvarez Moran is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in project finance and analysis. Currently serving as a Senior Finance Associate at UNOPS since January 2021, Lucas manages OECD+ funded projects and has recently undertaken a surge assignment as a Finance Specialist for the VCEP project in Afghanistan. Previous roles include Business Analyst at the European Central Bank, where Lucas focused on portfolio optimization and data analysis, and various trainee positions within the organization's finance directorate. Lucas also has a solid academic background with a Master's degree in Economics and Business Administration with a specialization in Finance and Accounting from the University of Southern Denmark, complemented by additional studies in digital transformation at Copenhagen Business School. Leadership experience includes founding a translation company and serving as treasurer for a prominent student organization.
