Cate O'Connell-Richards

Metals Lecturer at University of Wisconsin

Cate O'Connell-Richards is an experienced educator in the field of art metals and jewelry, currently serving as a Metals Lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Madison since August 2018, and as a Jewelry/Metals Instructor at Madison Area Technical College since August 2021. O'Connell-Richards has taught a range of courses, including Art Metals I, various special topics in enameling and casting, and historical graphic design. Additional experience encompasses roles as a Lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, a Bench Jeweler at BR Diamond Suite, and an Exhibitions Coordinator and Metals Instructor at Lawrence Arts Center. O'Connell-Richards holds an MFA in Studio Art, focusing on Contemporary 3D Practices, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, along with additional certifications and degrees in Museum Studies and a double major in Studio Art and Art History.
