Mariann Hyland

Mariann provides leadership for human resources, organizational culture and advancing equity, diversity and inclusion at Oregon Community Foundation. She has over 20 years of experience in institution-wide leadership at nonprofit and educational institutions in Oregon, including advancing diverse, inclusive and engaged workforces and organizational cultures. After starting her legal career as an associate at Stoel Rives in Portland, where her practice focused on labor and employment law, Mariann held positions as the director of public safety, risk management and contracts at Chemeketa Community College, including serving as in-house legal counsel; the director of affirmative action and equal opportunity at Oregon Health & Science University; the director of diversity and inclusion at the Oregon State Bar; and assistant vice provost for academic affairs at the University of Oregon. Mariann earned a BS and JD from the University of Oregon and an MSW from Portland State University.
