Sam Cole has extensive experience in higher education and journalism, currently serving as the Assistant Director of Research & Impact Services at the University of Warwick since April 2018, where roles include Head of REF Futures and Assistant Registrar for Strategic Planning & Analytics. Prior freelance work includes producing for the BBC and serving as a political reporter for DeHavilland. Cole's journalism background is further complemented by experience at the Press Association and Alliance News Limited as a multimedia news reporter and financial journalist, respectively. Earlier positions at the University of Warwick and Queen Mary University of London involved administrative and research responsibilities. Sam Cole holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Combined Arts (Philosophy & Politics) from the University of Liverpool.
