Prashik Gaikwad

Prashik Gaikwad, Ph.D., is a Material Simulation Engineer at Microvast since September 2023, specializing in atomistic modeling of Li-ion batteries utilizing DFT, AIMD, ML, and MD techniques. Prior to this role, Prashik served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Michigan Technological University from September 2018 to August 2023, along with positions as a Grader/Teaching Assistant at the same institution and as a Teaching Assistant for the CAE/CAD Lab at The University of Texas at Arlington from August 2017 to May 2018. Prashik gained practical experience as an intern at Idaho National Laboratory from May 2022 to April 2023, focusing on atomistic modeling of solid oxide electrolyte materials. Prashik holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, a Master's degree from The University of Texas at Arlington, and a Bachelor's degree from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
