Long Tran-Thanh

Long Tran-Thanh is a Professor and Deputy Head of Department (Research) at the University of Warwick, with prior experience as a Lecturer and Senior Research Fellow at the University of Southampton. Long's research focuses on machine learning, particularly online learning, sequential decision making, and algorithmic game theory, contributing to the ORCHID project funded by EPSRC and BAE Systems. Long completed a PhD at the University of Southampton, developing methods for budget-limited multi-armed bandits in multi-agent systems. Additional experience includes software development at CERN and work as a software engineer at Microsoft Hungary Consultancy. Long holds an MSc in Computer Science from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and a high school diploma in Mathematics from Fazekas Mihaly Fovarosi Gyakorlo Gimnazium.
