Lia Richards-Palmiter serves as an Assistant Professor of Social Work at the University of the District of Columbia since August 2024 and has held various positions at Marywood University since October 2001, including Assistant Professor, Director of Student Equity and Inclusion, and Director of Diversity. Additionally, Lia is a Partner at a Private Practice in Psychotherapy & Life Coaching since December 2019. Academic credentials include a PhD in Social Work from Marywood University, a Master’s degree in Clinical/Medical Social Work from the University of Denver, and a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology from the University of South Dakota.
