Alan Sutherland has a comprehensive background in managing campus services and student union operations, currently serving as the Director of Campus Services at the University of Surrey since February 2022. Prior to this role, Alan held various leadership positions within the University of Surrey Students' Union, including Chief Executive from March 2014 to January 2022, Membership Services Director from May 2009 to March 2014, and Commercial Manager, as well as Events & Venue Manager, from July 2004 to May 2009. Alan's career in events management began in July 1996 as an Events Manager at the University of Surrey Students' Union, continuing until July 2001. Alan's educational background is also rooted in the University of Surrey.
