Ying Liu is a seasoned research scientist at the University of Southern California's Center for Economic and Social Research, with expertise in providing statistical and psychometric advice on various research projects since January 2017. Currently serving as a consulting statistician for WestEd's STEM Program, Ying Liu leads the development and writing of data collection and analysis plans for grant proposals focused on early childhood mathematics. Previous positions include senior researcher at the City University of New York's Center for Advanced Study in Education, where methodology development in psychometrics and statistics was a key focus, and assistant professor at Fordham University, specializing in psychometrics and quantitative psychology. Ying Liu's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Quantitative Psychology and a Master's degree in Statistics, both obtained from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Peking University.
