Matthew Bauer is a skilled geospatial developer and engineer currently working at 3GIMBALS since February 2023, while also serving as a project assistant and research assistant at the University of Southern California since January 2023. Matthew is the founder of GeoForge, which began operations in February 2024. Previous experience includes a role as a geospatial system specialist with the U.S. Forest Service from November 2021 to February 2023, and as a research analyst and assistant at Portland State University from March 2020 to January 2022. Matthew has also worked as a wildland firefighter for the Oregon Department of Forestry and Patrick Environmental Inc. and served in the United States Marine Corps as a KC-130J crewmaster from October 2011 to June 2017. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science & Technology from the University of Southern California, expected in December 2023, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with a minor in Biology from Portland State University, completed in June 2021.
