Jack Claypoole has extensive experience in leadership and strategic initiatives within both academic and governmental settings. Currently serving as Chief of Staff to the Vice President for Research and Executive Director for Strategic Initiatives at the University of South Carolina since July 2012, Jack has held multiple influential roles at the university, including Executive Director for the USC Alumni Association. Prior experience includes significant positions at the Executive Office of the President, where Jack worked as Associate Deputy Director for Drug Free Communities, and as President and CEO at LRADAC. Jack also has a background in public relations and community services, having worked in various capacities at organizations such as the SC Department of Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse Services and the American Lung Association. Jack holds a Master's in Leadership from Georgetown University and a Bachelor's in Journalism from the University of South Carolina.
