Wasim Samara is a seasoned professional currently serving as a Senior Aviation Safety Officer Associate at the United Nations World Food Programme since January 2011, where responsibilities include managing aviation safety programs, performing quality monitoring, and conducting investigations of incidents. Additionally, Wasim has been active as an Organizer for Humanitarian Aviation Events and a Lecturer at both American University of Sharjah and University of Sharjah, teaching various IT and calculus courses to undergraduate students. Previous experience includes a role as World Wide System X Senior Technical Lead at IBM, where leadership and training were key components, and as an Instructor for USAID, educating health center employees. Wasim holds degrees in Computer Science at both the bachelor’s and master’s levels, along with a license in Flight Dispatch from Jeppesen Academy.
