Mohamed Hassan Taha is the current Acting Director of Medical Education Center at University of Sharjah. Mohamed has extensive experience in medical education, having previously worked as the Head of Medical Education Unit at Public Health Institute Sudan from November 2012 to July 2015. In this role, they were responsible for curriculum design, training of staff, student assessment and evaluation, and accreditation of health professions institutes. Mohamed also served as the deputy of the standing committee of curricula at Academy of Health Sciences and Public Health.
Taha has participated in several national consultancies in medical education, including setting standards for postgraduate training in Sudan and evaluating the national CPD. Mohamed has also been exposed to international experience in medical education through their work with various universities, such as University of Leeds, Open University of Malaysia, University of Washington, Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) Netherland, and University of LiverPool. Mohamed's areas of expertise include curriculum development, educational research, and program evaluation.
Mohamed Hassan Taha has a PhD in Health Professions Education from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Gezira. Mohamed also has a Master's Degree in Health Professions Education from the same school, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Research Methods and Biostastics from the Graduate College at the University of Medical Sciences and Technology. Finally, they have a Bachelor's Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Gezira.
