Mohammad Mahdi A. Shirazi is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of chemical engineering, currently serving as a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Saskatchewan, teaching "Solid Waste Management." As a Living Skies Postdoctoral Fellow, responsibilities include environmental monitoring, group management, proposal development, and technology development for resource recovery and treatment of emerging contaminants. In addition to managing a group at Cyclic Water, focusing on sustainable water and wastewater treatment technologies, Mohammad Mahdi A. Shirazi has contributed extensively as an Executive Guest Editor for various virtual special issues and books related to PFAS management, membrane technology, and resource recovery. Past roles include positions at Aalborg University as a Postdoctoral Fellow, managing editor of the Journal of Membrane Science and Research, and lecturer at the Science and Research Branch, Azad University. Educational achievements include a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kashan and multiple degrees in the same field.
