Maria Freilino has extensive experience in research and laboratory management within academic institutions, currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist and Lab Manager at the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute since March 2015. Prior to this role, Maria Freilino was a Lab Manager and Research Associate IV at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine from May 1990 to 2015. Maria Freilino holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physical and Biological Anthropology from the University of Pittsburgh, where studies were completed from 1987 to 1990, and attended Penn State University from 1985 to 1987.
