George Wittenberg is an esteemed academic and clinician in the field of neurology, currently serving as a Professor and Visiting Professor at the University of Pittsburgh since February 2018, and as a Visiting Associate Professor at the University of Maryland Baltimore since August 2006. Previous roles include Associate Professor at KU Leuven, Senior Fellow at the American Society of Neurorehabilitation, and Staff Physician at the Veterans Health Administration, where George contributed to neurology clinical care and neurorehabilitation research. Experience extends to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center as an Assistant Professor and head of the Neurorehabilitation Fellowship program, along with pivotal research roles at the National Institutes of Health and Washington University in St. Louis.
