Suradip Das is a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania's Penn Neurosurgery, having begun this role in October 2024. With a background in biosciences and bioengineering, Suradip holds a PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, where the focus was on artificial scaffolds for neural tissue engineering. Suradip serves as an editorial board member for BMC Biomedical Engineering and Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology, and has been a fellow at the Center for Neurotrauma and Neuroregeneration since October 2018. Additional roles include senior research investigator at Penn Medicine until October 2024, evaluator for the Regeneron Science Talent Search, and experience as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, working on advanced tissue-engineered nerve grafts. Prior involvement includes mentoring students at Freedom Employability Academy and serving as secretary for the Biomedical Postdoctoral Association.
