Lechen Yang is currently a PhD researcher at both The Faraday Institution and the University of Oxford, having commenced this role in October 2022. Prior experience includes serving as a summer intern in the Energy Materials Group at the University of Birmingham, where Lechen participated in the Nextrode project on battery electrode slurries, and earlier internship roles at the same institution. Additionally, Lechen has contributed as a student ambassador, student representative, and international student recruitment helper, enhancing communication between students and faculty and supporting prospective students. Educational qualifications include a DPhil in Materials at the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Engineering with Class I Honours in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Birmingham. Lechen also participated in the U21 Global Citizenship program, focusing on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
