Aoife Bennett is a Departmental Research Lecturer in Environmental Social Science and an Honorary Research Associate at the University of Oxford since April 2020. Bennett is also a Fellow to the Global Futures Council for Biodiversity and the Bioeconomy at the World Economic Forum, a position held since October 2018. Previous roles include Directora de la Direcci贸n de Gesti贸n de la Investigaci贸n VPI at Universidad Nacional Intercultural de la Amazonia from January to August 2021, and Professora Extraordinaria de Investigaci贸n at the same institution from March 2019 to August 2021. Academic qualifications include a DPhil in Geography and the Environment and an MSc in Biodiversity and Conservation Management from the University of Oxford, along with a BA International in Anthropology from the National University of Ireland. Consulting experience encompasses work for the International Fund for Agricultural Development, where Bennett specialized in Indigenous Peoples and the Development Agenda, as well as consultancy roles with Solutions and Evidence for Environment and Development and CIFOR - Center for International Forestry Research.
