Nigel Owen serves as the Associate Director of Learning Technologies at the University of Nottingham, leading a team of 35 to oversee the development and deployment of learning technology services across the institution. With a background that includes roles such as Head of Learning Systems and Senior Programme Manager for Research Strategy and UoN Libraries, Nigel has extensive experience in project management, strategy development, and technology-enhanced education services. Throughout the tenure at the University of Nottingham since 2003, Nigel has successfully managed significant initiatives, including global projects in library transformation and the facilitation of technology-driven learning experiences across multiple campuses. Nigel holds a PGCert in Applications of Technology in Open and Distance Education from The Open University and a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Imaging and Media Communications from The University of Bradford.
