Maleia Torres, CTP, currently serves as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Treasury at the University of North Texas System since April 2022. In addition to this role, Maleia is a small business owner at West Winds Construction LLC, a company established in January 2015 focused on remodeling and community service. Maleia has extensive experience in the Texas Tech University System, serving as Senior Director & Treasurer from April 2019 to May 2022, and previously holding the positions of Treasury Manager and Senior Analyst Treasury Management. Maleia began professional career as a Staff Accountant at the American Bank of Commerce from September 2005 to December 2007. Maleia holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance from Walsh University (2001-2005) and a College/University Preparatory High School Diploma from Fort Frye High School (1997-2001).
