Shauna M. Cooper

Shauna M. Cooper is an experienced academic and researcher currently serving as a Professor and Associate Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since July 2017. In addition, Shauna Cooper has been an Equity Scholar at the Urban Institute since January 2022. Previously, Shauna held the position of Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina from July 2007 to July 2017 and worked as a Center Research Scientist at the Parenting and Family Research Center from 2010 to 2017. Shauna M. Cooper was also a Faculty Affiliate at the Research Consortium for Children and Families during 2008-2017 and completed a National Institute of Child Health and Human Development Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2005 to 2007. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Developmental and Child Psychology from the University of Michigan (2000-2005) and a BA in Psychology and Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1996-2000).
