Praneeth Chakravarthula is an Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since 2024, with a strong research background in display technologies. Previous experience includes research internships at Facebook and Microsoft, focusing on holographic displays, and multiple internships at NVIDIA, researching near-eye displays. Praneeth has also been a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab, investigating glasses-free 3D displays, and served as a research assistant at the National University of Singapore. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from Princeton University, a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a BTech and MTech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
