Megan Winget, PhD, serves as a Teaching Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since July 2018 and has been the Owner & Chief Digital Consultant at Conviviali since October 2013, specializing in digital strategy for small and medium-sized businesses. Winget has experience as a Faculty Instructor at San Jose State University, teaching online courses in Digital Curation, and served as an Assistant Professor in Information Science at the University of Texas at Austin. Previous roles include Product Strategist for CanWe Studios LLC and a Taxonomy and Social Media Consultant for the Texas Archive of the Moving Image. Winget holds a Ph.D. and MSIS in Information and Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an MA in the History of Art from the University of Virginia, and a BA in Art History and German from The University of Georgia.
