Adrienne Bell is currently serving as the Senior Conservator for Special Collections at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where responsibilities include directing the conservation program, advocating for conservation across departments, and advising on treatment decisions. With a robust background that includes a decade at the Folger Shakespeare Library as a Book Conservator, Adrienne has performed complex conservation treatments, constructed exhibition supports, and provided training on handling rare materials. Prior roles include Preservation Librarian at Johns Hopkins University, where disaster response plans were developed, and Conservator in Private Practice at Bell Book and Conservation. Early career experience as Associate Conservator at Etherington Conservation Services further solidified expertise in conservation treatments and custom enclosures. Adrienne Bell holds an MLIS in Libraries and Preservation from the University of Pittsburgh and a BA in English and French from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
