Tania Sourdin

President of Academic Senate at University of Newcastle

Tania Sourdin is a distinguished academic and industry professional with extensive experience in dispute resolution and law. Currently serving as the President of the Academic Senate and Professor and Dean of Newcastle Law School at the University of Newcastle since April 2016, Tania Sourdin also holds the role of Industry Dispute Advisor for the National Broadband Network since April 2014. Tania Sourdin has been the Director of Endispute Pty Ltd since April 2009, providing strategic advice and conflict management services, and was appointed by the ACCC as the National Broadband Network Dispute Resolution Adviser. Previous roles include Foundation Chair and Director of the Australian Centre for Justice Innovation at Monash University from 2011 to February 2023, and a member of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal from May 2001 to November 2014. Tania Sourdin holds an LLM and PhD in Conflict Resolution from the University of Technology Sydney, along with a BA LLB from UNSW.
