Jay Chaplin is an accomplished expert in immunology and biotechnology with extensive experience in research and leadership roles spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Program Advisor for the Executive MicroMBA program at the University of New Haven, Jay emphasizes technical due diligence and team communication. Previous roles include Head of Immunology Research & Innovation at Abcam, Chief Scientific Officer at Exact Biotechnologies, and Senior Research Scientist at Novo Nordisk, where Jay contributed to advancements in gene expression controls, immunomodulatory therapies, and genomic editing. Jay holds a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Washington and additional degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry, complemented by a Project Management Certificate from Edmonds College.
