Pooja Sheevam is a PhD Candidate at the University of Nevada, Reno, specializing in infrared spectroscopy and its applications in energy and mineral exploration, alongside research on deep basaltic cores to enhance understanding of planetary dynamics. Prior experience includes a role as a Policy Consultant for Geothermal Rising, focusing on geological policy and legislative context, and positions as a Research Assistant and Lab Analyst at the Institute for Arctic and Alpine Research, contributing to paleoclimate research and climate-related studies. Additional experience encompasses various research and leadership roles at the University of Colorado Boulder, including analyzing meteorological data during a significant field project and serving as a Teaching Assistant for K-12 science outreach programs. Pooja holds a Bachelor's degree in Geology/Earth Science and a minor in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder, and is pursuing further education at the University of Nevada, Reno.
