Dr. Lawrence Chatters is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in higher education, currently serving as the Director of Community Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln since July 2024. Prior to this role, Dr. Chatters held multiple positions within the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Athletic Department, including Executive Associate Athletic Director for Strategic Initiatives and Senior Associate Athletic Director for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Dr. Chatters also served as Chief Diversity Officer and Vice President for Student Affairs at Midland University, and as Executive Director of The Goldwin Foundation, dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with medical issues. With a Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Dr. Chatters has a robust background in counseling and educational psychology, having also worked as a postdoctoral fellow and adjunct professor at Penn State University.
