Shirley Harkey, DHA, RN, FACHE, serves as an Assistant Professor of Health Care Management at the University of Mount Olive since August 2022 and has held the position of Chairperson of the Board at 3HC Home Health & Hospice Care Inc. since December 2021. With extensive experience in healthcare leadership, Shirley is a member of the Board of Directors for 3 HC Home Health and Hospice and previously held significant roles such as Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at UNC Lenoir Health Care, Senior Vice President Operations at Wayne UNC Health Care, and Senior Vice President & Chief Nursing Officer at Nash Health Care Systems. Shirley’s academic credentials include a Doctorate in Healthcare Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina, a Master's in Nursing from the University of South Carolina, and a BS in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
