Farhad Farzbod is an accomplished academic and engineer with extensive experience in mechanical engineering and related fields. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at the University of Mississippi since September 2015, Farzbod previously held the position of Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering. Prior to this academic role, Farzbod worked at Google [X] Lab as a Hardware Engineer, focusing on the design and modeling of transducers for Project Glass. Additional experience includes a Research Engineer role at Idaho National Laboratory within the Material Science and Engineering Department, and multiple positions at the Georgia Institute of Technology, including Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant/Lab Instructor. Farzbod holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, along with two master's degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Mathematics, all from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a MASc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tehran.
